Disease Detectives: Epidemiology

From the Science Museum of Minnesota: Meet three epidemiologists from the past, present and future. Hippocrates tells you about his methods of disease prevention, Sandra Ford will share her story of the early years of HIV/AIDS, and a doctor from the future talks about eradicating polio.Disease Detectives is a traveling exhibit created by the Science Museum of Minnesota, and made possible by a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) award from the National Center for Research Resources, a component of the National Institutes of Health.In this immersive exhibit, museum visitors investigate infectious disease mysteries by role-playing various medical professionals. Participants meet interactive patients, analyze lab tests and learn about the transmission and prevention of infectious diseases.
