In the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shoot, this two-day “Summit on Reducing Gun Violence
in America: Informing Policy with Evidence and Analysis,” held at Johns
Hopkins University presents research on gun violence and public health. Dr. Matthew Miller of Harvard University's Injury Control Research Center compares gun
violence in the U.S. to other countries. Professor Philip Cook, professor of Economics and Sociology at Duke University, presents his
findings on the effectiveness gun regulations, including the Brady law.
