Neglected tropical diseases affect hundreds of millions of people, but receive far less attention than the more well-known diseases, such as malaria. One thing they have in common is that they affect the poorest people in the world.

In this Rockhopper TV, Dr Wendy Harrison, deputy director of the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative explains more about the impact of neglected tropical diseases. For show-and-tell, Dr. Harrison is accompanied by ascaris lumbricoides (human roundworm) and tapeworm!
